Link every dot. When you test, the worst zone breaks and cuts every link through it. If every dot is still connected, your network held. Spend as little as you can.
Tap a dot, then another, to link them. Tap a link to remove it.
Each link costs its number. Par is the cheapest network that holds. You get 3 tests a day.
Squares are hubs: optional stops. A hub inside a zone loses its links when that zone breaks.
A new board every day at midnight. Everyone gets the same one. Pull the chain in the corner to switch the desk lamp on or off. The sliders button has the Paper and Plain looks, which play exactly the same.
When you test, the worst zone breaks. From Thursday, two zones break. Every link that passes through a broken zone is cut. The break is never random: it tries every zone (on two-break days, every pair of zones together) and picks the one that hurts you most: the break that leaves the most dots unable to reach the biggest group still connected. If two breaks are equally bad, it picks the one that cuts more of your links. Beyond that it makes no difference to your result which one it shows.
If every dot can still reach every other dot, your network holds.
Where one of your links runs through a zone, tick marks cross it: that stretch is exposed. Press and hold a zone to highlight every route through it.
You get 3 tests a day. Your cheapest network that held is your score. Par is the cheapest network that can hold, proven by checking every combination of links.
Your cost can't go over the budget, the "max" beside your cost. You can't test the same network twice, and a network cheaper than par can never hold.
Stuck? After your first test you can take up to 3 hints. Each one tells you more about a cheapest network. The second unlocks 30 seconds after the first, the third 60 seconds after the second. Hints show in your share.
Today's board is timed. Your score is still your cost against par; the time only ranks players who reached the same result. The clock pauses when you leave the page. Endless boards are timed too, just for you: your finished screen graphs them.
Monday is the gentlest, and each day after it is harder. Weekend boards look calmer but are the trickiest: small zones on short links, where the obvious plan comes up short.
Every day in a row that you finish the daily board, your plant grows. A day your network holds grows a leaf, an Ace day grows a gold flower, and at 7 days it blooms. A split grows no leaf, but only a missed day takes it back to a seed.
